Chemical fiber refers to those natural or synthetic high polymer as raw materials, through chemical processing and manufacturing of fibers, it can be divided into two categories of artificial fibers and synthetic fibers. There are two kinds of synthetic fiber, namely artificial cellulose fiber (such as viscose fiber, rich and strong (powerful) fiber, etc.) and artificial protein fiber (such as soybean fiber, peanuts, fiber, etc.) and synthetic fiber camp is huge, with polyester fiber (polyester), polyamide (nylon 6, nylon 66, etc.), polyacrylonitrile fiber (acrylic), polyvinyl formal fiber (whalen), Polypropylene fiber (polypropylene), polyvinyl chloride fiber (chlorylon), polyurethane fiber (spandex). The component substance contains more than 85% of the components of polyurethane, the trade name is Lycra (Lycra, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada, Brazil), Neolon (Neolon, Japan), Dorlastan (Germany) and so on. First by the German Bayer company in 1937 research success, the United States DuPont company began industrial production in 1959, has sold its spandex industry to the United States Koch Industries Group, the total production capacity of about 100,000 tons. At present, the global spandex total production capacity is about 600,000 tons, while the South Korean Hyosung company's spandex production capacity is close to 120,000 tons, becoming the world's first. The first spandex enterprise in China was Yantai Spandex Factory, which began production in 1989.
There are two types of spandex, one is a Mosaic copolymer made of aromatic bisisocyanate and polyester chain segment containing hydroxyl group (referred to as polyester spandex), and the other is a Mosaic copolymer made of aromatic bisisocyanate and polyether chain segment containing hydroxyl group (referred to as polyether spandex). Spandex fiber and elastic polyolefin fiber and elastic composite fiber are collectively referred to as elastic fiber.
